Stand-alone electronic locks
Keypad, card or mobile locks that don't need wiring back to a panel. Good for small offices, rentals and single doors.
Lethbridge, Alberta · Southern Alberta
We supply and install electronic door locks and access control systems, from a single keypad lock to networked card, fob and mobile access across several buildings.
Lethbridge
Lethbridge is southern Alberta's largest city, on the Oldman River and known for its wind.
Access control is only as reliable as the door it's on. A reader can grant access perfectly and still leave people locked out if the strike is misaligned or the door doesn't latch. Because we're door specialists, we install the electrified hardware and the door together, so the opening works mechanically as well as electronically.
We install stand-alone electronic locks for small offices and rentals, wireless locks that connect to a central system, and hardwired readers, controllers and electrified hardware for larger buildings. We work with the major platforms, including HID, Salto, Keyscan, Kantech, Paxton, Brivo, Genetec, LenelS2, Avigilon Alta and Verkada, as well as Schlage and ASSA ABLOY electronic locks.
Local conditions
Strong, frequent winds and chinooks, hot dry summers and cold snaps in winter. Wind catches doors and strains hinges, closers and frames.
Wind-blown dust and cold snaps are hard on exterior readers and locks. We choose sealed, outdoor-rated hardware.
The access control work we do most, for houses, businesses and multi-unit buildings.

Readers, controllers and electrified hardware managed from one system, on site or in the cloud, with schedules and audit trails.
Battery-powered locks that talk to the access system without running wire to each door, useful for interior and retrofit doors.
The City of Lethbridge issues building permits and inspects work under the National Building Code – 2023 Alberta Edition. Barrier-free requirements are in Section 3.8, Accessibility. Here's what applies to this work.
This is a plain-language summary, not the code itself. Requirements depend on the building's occupancy, size and whether the work is new construction or an alteration. Confirm them with your designer and the local authority having jurisdiction. More on barrier-free code in Lethbridge.

Not always. Wireless electronic locks connect to the system without a cable to each door. Hardwired readers and strikes are usually better for main entrances and high-traffic doors.
That depends on the hardware. Fail-secure locks stay locked and still let people out from the inside; fail-safe hardware unlocks. We help you choose the right setup for each door and the fire and building codes that apply to it.
