  • Testing, tuning and maintenance

Overview

Perimeter detection systems, done properly

Doors and locks protect a building. Perimeter detection protects the property around it: equipment yards, substations, industrial sites, fleet compounds and storage facilities where an intruder can do damage long before they reach a door.

We design the detection around your site: fence-mounted sensors that pick up climbing and cutting, microwave and infrared beams across open ground and gate openings, and buried or ground sensors where a fence isn't practical. Alarms can be tied into your access control, cameras and monitoring so every alert can be checked quickly.

When to call

Signs you need us

  • Theft of equipment, fuel or materials from a yard
  • Break-ins discovered only the next morning
  • Large sites that are hard to watch with cameras alone
  • Insurance or regulatory requirements for intrusion detection
  • Old sensors that give too many false alarms

What we cover

Every job is different. These are the kinds of perimeter detection work we do most.

Fence-mounted

Sensors on the fence fabric detect climbing, cutting and lifting, zoned so you know where along the line it happened.

Open ground

Microwave and active infrared beams protect open areas, rooftops and gaps between fences and buildings.

Integrated

Alarms tied into cameras, lighting, access control and monitoring, so alerts can be verified and acted on.

How a job runs

Four steps, and you'll know the price before any work starts.

  1. Step 1

    Tell us what you need

Send photos and details through the form, or call. For commercial work, send the door and hardware schedule if you have one.

  2. Step 2

    We look on site

We confirm sizes, handing, frame condition, power and hardware before anything gets ordered.

  3. Step 3

    You get a written quote

Itemized by door, hardware and labour, with lead times for anything that has to be ordered.

  4. Step 4

    We install and test

We adjust until it closes, latches, locks and opens the way it should, then clean up before we leave.

Questions we hear a lot

What kind of sites need perimeter detection?

Equipment and fleet yards, industrial and oilfield sites, utilities, storage facilities, construction sites and any property with valuable assets outside the building.

Will wind, snow and animals set off false alarms?

Good systems are tuned to the site and use zoning and filtering to tell the difference between weather, small animals and a person. We test and adjust after installation and through the seasons.

Can it work with our cameras and access control?

Yes. Most perimeter systems can trigger cameras, lights and alerts, and connect to access control or a monitoring centre.
